Music and Love

by Silvia Francesca Maglione

Music, more than any art, communicates right to the heart. There is indeed a strong correlation between Music and Love. Music arouses feelings so passionate, so intense, that are comparable only to the ones awaken by Love.
Artists' sentimental lives are potentially the most enviable of all, because they enclose: Music, Love, but most important, they encompass the combination of the two - in one compact essence.
When Clara Wieck swore love to young Robert Schumann, he knew instantly that theirs would've been a life-long passion. When Magdalene Wilkens approached Johann Sebastian Bach with her perfumed flowers, Bach knew that he would have loved her until her death. When beautiful Colbran met Gioacchino Rossini, she was determined in loving him, until the day he needed her, and so she did. When Virginia Vasselli ran across his Doninzetti, they both knew that theirs would have been a truthful and eternal Love. When Giuseppina Strepponi met Giuseppe Verdi, they felt that there was nothing stronger than their Love. The examples are countless, and they all seem to lead in one direction - if one is dedicated to Music, then he/she is more prone in experiencing deep feelings, such as "real Love".

…Musicians and Music Lovers, rejoice! It’s you feeling the best Love!
